Thank you kindly for all the comments, they are tremendously appreciated! I still can not get over the wonderfully supportive and positive community here on deviantART, I'm so happy to be part of it and to see the abundant creativity happening all the time!

Here's the short and sweet about me:
I'm a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design. I received my B.F.A. in illustration in 2006 and am on and off with freelance work. My first picture book, Ballots For Belva, was published this year and I sure hope there are more to come!

Although I often find myself in self-doubt-inspired creative funks, I try to use DeviantArt as a way to motivate myself and overcome the overwhelming fear of inadequacy that I think we all face from time to time. Besides that, I love sheep, cumulonimbus cloud formations, reflections in windows, and children's books. To me there's nothing better than a beautifully illustrated and designed picture book.

Other than that, I live in Boston with my wonderful and talented fiancé Adam Hunter Peck and work as a designer for the company Life is good.®
